... alligators here, too.

The Falcon 9 rocket has just been launched (remember this Monday, July 18, 2016) and Dragon capsule just docked into the International Space Station (ISS), this 20 July, that NASA remains in busting. First of all, the visitor center of the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), with many, many people who flock as usual at this period of vacancy. With the generations that come together as the young Harrison Sheldon, 4, highlighted in the Florida Today July 21 (see cons). Then with the great gala of the Buzz Aldrin ShareSpace Foundation, which has made a super-big appointment in the impressive building of Apollo / Saturn V Center, where is exposed the real rocket Saturn 5 that could not be sent to the Moon in the early seventies, for lack of funds.
But it is on the US Air Force launch site that is still active with the launch of an Atlas V rocket scheduled July 28 at 8:37 am (local), 2:37 p.m. (Swiss), on shooting PAD SLC-41. This mission NROL-61 of National Reconnaissance Office is for the US defense. Scheduled for 21 April it was postponed to June 14 and June 24 and now before July 29. This makes me do not look very good, because I'm leaving Cape Canaveral July 26 from Tampa to Zurich. My colleague Gerard van de Haar offers me hospitality for a small sum in his apartment that gives exactly in front of the starting towers (12 miles), an integral view in the distance. Moreover, he tells me that every morning he sees the sun rise - with his trusty blue sky Riviera - illuminate gradually turns. From his balcony, I could test my cameras and I must say it is a perfect place on the 4th floor of its private residences nearby to dilapidated Bay Towers, to follow a takeoff.

For those who, by chance, would be in the area of Florida during these vacancies, I recommend a good location without the need for authorization. It is the Exploration Tower in the Port of Cape Canaveral that can directly reach by car. Well, that is not the view that is usually when you are on the official sites, but it's not bad, on the 4th floor of the tower. A very attractive space with a small museum space exploration and other marine explorations.
