Twist and kissing with the ISS
Just before docking at 12:02 a.m. this Friday, May 25 (6:02 p.m. Swiss time), Dragon has twisted to the International Space Station (ISS). The Canadian robotic arm « Canadarm2 has handled shook its partner (the capsule) by grabbing it by the hips. Then the arm has finally hung up at the station. And this Saturday morning at 5:53 (11:53 CH) astronauts were able to open the airlock to conduct an inspection into (!) Dragon.
A lovely gift for the KSC who is about to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, while the local press (The Florida Today that day) says : « SpaceX, NASA cheer after Dragon capsule parks at ISS ». A kiss, smac !
